"What I write is different from what I say, what I say is different from what I think, what I think is different from what I ought to think and so it goes further into the deepest darkness."

In March of 2012, twenty students from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville traveled to a remote rural village in the southern region of Peru about 5 hours south of Cusco near the border of Bolivia. The village was called CC and there they donated their time and roughly 800 pounds of clothes and school supplies to the children and families. The dedication of the children they met was astonishing. The nearest city was hours away by bus and the children would walk there through the mountainside in order to receive a better education.
The North Florida students also had the privilege of visiting the Non-Governmental Organization World Vision headquarters in Cusco and in Pisac. World Vision is a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities in Peru and worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. The work they do with rural development is inspiring and you can learn more about it, as well as how to sponsor a child in a underdeveloped or developing nation by visiting their website at www.worldvision.org.
With heavy hearts we have decided to try our hardest to do what we can to raise money for a village we had the privilege of working with. Please help us in reaching our goal of donating $2000 to aid in further development of the village and the education of their children. We thank you so much in advance for your generosity and compassion.
